Premiere Pro CC 2015.3, Part 1: New Updates to Existing Features

Adobe recently released updates to its video tools in the Creative Suite. These tools were announced at NAB 2016 and are now in the hands of their end-users. Since I’m still in the middle of my ‘Premiere Pro Desert Island Challenge’, I figured I’d take a look at those new features which will affect the way we color correct in Premiere Pro.

We’ll look at new features in Premiere Pro CC that affect our color correction workflow

In this Insight, I’m specifically focusing on new features to existing tools:

• Lumetri Scopes updates
• The revised SpeedLooks bundle
• A new HSL Keying panel in the Lumetri Color effect

Another feature of note is Premiere’s new Proxy workflow. I don’t talk about it in this video Insight because there’s a good video on Adobe’s website that’ll get you up and running with the new Proxy workflow. If you’re a Premiere Pro user, I strongly suggest you watch it.

In the next Insight in this series, we’ll look at two new features in Premiere Pro that will have a huge effect on how we color correct in Premiere. One of these features is rather sad. The other? Totally rad!
