Episode 17: From The Mailbag
The 2014 25 Insights in 25 Days Holiday Marathon & Our Top 2 Color Grading Questions
In this edition of From The Mailbag, we’re taking a slightly different approach than our normal episodes.
While we always get amazing questions, this week instead of questions from members, we want to discuss our 2014 25×25 Holiday Marathon and what each of us has planned.
Also, in Part 2, we’ll discuss a couple questions that each one of us gets when we speak at conferences, or even just in passing from friends and colleagues that don’t make it into episodes of From The MailBag.
Remember, if you have questions that you’d like to get an opinion on please use the contact form. Your questions can be aesthetic, technical or even client related. We’d love to hear from you, and your question might make future episodes of From The Mailbag.
We’re At It Again! The 2014 Holiday Marathon
Last year we thought it’d be fun to run a Holiday Insights marathon – and members agreed.
To be honest, last year’s marathon was a lot of fun and we got some great feedback from members so we thought why not make it a tradition and do it again this year!
As we started planning, we thought we were going to do the same number of Insights that we did for last year’s marathon (20) but somehow we ended up promoting this years installment as 25 Insights in 25 Days.
More work for us, but more content and learning for you!
In Part 1 of this MailBag, we discuss the marathon and each one of our plans for Insights.
While we’re already on Day 7 there are lot of days left and all three of us have a lot of exciting content planned.
“Can I Ask You A Quick Question?”
One of our favorite parts of running MixingLight.com is the questions we get from members.
With that said, each one of us gets a ton of questions about grading from friends, colleagues and students at conferences.
And while we’d love to make each one of those questions into a separate part of a From The MailBag episode, we just don’t have the time AND there is usually a ton of overlap when it comes to the questions we get.
So in Part 2 of this episode, we each discuss two questions that we often get.
We had a very hard time deciding on the top 2 for each of us, so chances are we’ll probably do similar installments in future episodes!
Enjoy the Mail Bag! Happy Holidays!
