It’s hard to believe it’s taken us this long, but this installment of From The Mailbag is our 50th! We look forward to hitting the century mark much more quickly!

Because of this milestone, we thought what a better way to celebrate than to discuss two topics we’ve recently been getting a lot of questions about:

• What’s important as you’re getting started as a colorist?
• How did grading change since the time we started out as colorists?

The truth is, so much time is spent in learning software, vocabulary and workflows that it’s easy to forget about some of the ‘softer’ things that go into the work we all do – or aspire to do.

Clocking in at nearly 30 minutes, we obviously have thoughts on these questions and enjoy chatting about them.
