A Review Of Your Grades And A Look At My Approach

It’s great to see the number of attempts going up and up each month especially on this month’s beauty grading challenge.

It was great to see so many people taking part in the comments. Anyone that hasn’t tried yet I’d love to see you taking part next time.

I’ll do my best to keep working on challenge ideas and getting better at giving feedback each time also!

One of the best things about this month is that every single grade is different.

It really shows that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (pardon the pun) and that grading is unique to each and every colourist.

Thanks for the DRX Dan. I wanted to redo my submission but didn’t find the time. I am going to study your grade and try again.

We are colorists or becoming colorists, so – we won’t mind if you do more detailed Insights. You said you don’t want us to fall asleep. Well I won’t, I’d love some longer, in-depth insights!

    • Even just watching this video really helped even though it wasn’t technically a tut. I plan on doing a lot more beauty stuff and this really helped with how things should be done.

In answer to your question on complexity: I’m in complete agreement with the below comments. Please go much more complex. Don’t hold back for fear of alienating. There are loads of free tutorials online covering the basics like this and the majority of MixingLight content is also relatively surface-level. For a paid membership site like this we’d love more detail! Thanks Dan!
