The Best Grades From Around The World
It’s colorist appreciation time again here at Mixing Light and there is lots of amazing work to fire up your colorist brains and get grading.
This month we have some excellent work from lots of young colorists from Finish, Electric Theater Collective, Glassworks and also myself. It feels strange including one of my own pieces of work but as I explain later I had some good reasoning behind it.
I’m not posting any feature film work here just yet as I just want to clarify the rules on posting trailers here on mixing light but as soon as I know for sure I’ll do a bonus feature film only colorist inspiration.
This month I have mostly been fighting against the color green. Green leaves, green grass and anything that used to be alive and green and is now yellow and dead.
Autumn has arrived and so has the world of everything looking brown instead of summery and warm.
I’ve already started grading christmas ad’s so bring on the warm nostalgia filled grades.
Lets take a look of some of my favorite recent grades from young colorists.
