Although accuracy is obviously an important factor in choosing a transcription service, other considerations include ease of use and extended functionality.
Having a less accurate transcription service, yet one that sits on your timeline or allows you to do text-based editing will probably be more useful than a more accurate third-party service to which you have to upload all your media.

I didn’t want to make the process too easy, so I’ve chosen an audio sample that has several major problems with it.

Yeah. I actually love it. I was cutting a scene today of, uh, the reporter, you know, shot of her looking at her phone, and then they shot to full-screen video of what she was supposedly looking at on the phone, and then left the footage with what was on the screen and left to go to the next scene.
And I was saying, wow, what a wasted opportunity here. You know, I can make this beautiful. This is just like a scene that’s just sitting here. We could actually, you know, make this into a story.
The Results – Observations and Conclusions
Using all of these transcription services is incredibly easy. Each one only takes a few seconds to load or upload the clip and then transcribe the 30 seconds of audio.
