A Few Nifty Features That Probably Won’t Make The Headlines

I haven’t had time to give DaVinci Resolve 12.5 a good workout. That’ll come soon on a feature documentary I’ll be grading, which will give me a week of solid ‘stick time’ to get acquainted with the 70 new features Blackmagic added to the Color Page. Plus, with what I learned at NAB – I’ll have more to say about the big Resolve 12.5 Public Beta release. For now, consider this my DaVinci Resolve 12.5 First Look.

While working with 12.5, I took notes about some initial impressions I had when pushing/pulling Resolve 12.5. From those notes, I pulled a few observations that I don’t think look big to Blackmagic’s marketing team but as a working colorist – these new additions put a smile on my face.

You can bet I’ll have lots more to say about Resolve 12.5, especially after I’ve had a few jobs under my belt with it. Until then, enjoy a few observations about some little ‘gems’ of features that you won’t want to miss in the brand new Resolve 12.5.
