In DaVinci Resolve 19, Blackmagic introduced a film emulation ResolveFX called the Film Look Creator (FLC). This effect is designed as a one-stop-shop for creating a “film” style look, including adjustments for properties like:

  • Grain
  • Blur
  • Halation
  • Vignettes

This Insight explores how to use this ResolveFX, slider-by-slider, and compares it to the widely used third-party film emulation OFX plug-in Dehancer Pro.
