We’ve all graded for “remote” clients. Directors that are not able to attend because they either have no time or don’t live near your grading room.
Sometimes these jobs go extremely well and get approved easily but more often than not we get feedback like :
“Too bright”
“Too yellow”
“Needs more pop”
How exactly do we address issues like the image being too bright? That could be many many things. Like a particular highlight being too hot or maybe a t-shirt in the background is catching the director’s eye.
Communicating these changes can be a complex and time-consuming process.
Tools like Frame.io make this process a lot quicker but sometimes you need true live grading on a job
Enter live remote grading in DaVinci Resolve.
