I had to take a two-week hiatus as the schedule for a series I’ve been color grading got a little
helter-skelter. But the final episode wrapped up this week, the final invoice was generated, and I can return to a more normal workflow. Or rather, normal’ish. I announced to active members of the Mixing Light Insight Library of a new Strike Team I’m forming, that readers of this publication may be interested in.
The Mixing Light Strike TeamApril is the 10th anniversary of Mixing Light, and the Strike Team is a one-month operation to help bring the Insights Library back catalog more searchable and findable.
I’m tasking its members to re-visit every one of our 1,200+ Insights and update the categories they’ve been assigned. In the old days, we were rather haphazard about tagging the categories for our Insights. So it’s possible that Insights delving deep into, say, window tracking weren’t categorized with that tag.
The Strike Team will fix that.
We will also be flagging the back catalog for missing images, bad links, or are outdated – for future follow-up.
I’ve got three 45-minute organizational meetings this week – of which you’d only need to attend one. Subscribers to this Newsletter are welcome to join the Strike Team. Here are the times (GMT -5) and Zoom links (no registration required):
